Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was less than a mile from the gate of Mt Rainier National Park. I don't think we could have gotten any closer to our destination. It is a spacious house with many options for hanging out. The hot tub is on a nice patio and there is a sauna also. Some properties with hot tubs will charge extra to fill and heat it. This one was ready to go! It was very comfortable for 6 adults. The game room has many options including a foosball table, darts, etc. Amazingly, they have two washers and two dryers! Important for people hiking in the National Park.

Negative: Apparently, the area experiences intermittent, brief power outages. One occurred late (10:30ish) on Saturday night. The owners describe this possibility in their information book at the house and where to find flashlights and lanterns. They also gave us advance notice via text that one was coming. That part was fine, we just went to bed. However, my husband uses a c-pap machine. That was difficult to deal with. The good part was that it only lasted ~2 hours.
